This document covers an American Spice Trade Association Self-Regulation Program for the Enforcement of the Food and Drug Administration’s Regulations Regarding Spices. It includes an introduction, information on the regulation of spices by FDA, the ASTA Self-Enforcement Program, ASTA's policy on anti-trust and competitive practices, spice list, etc.

This presentation was provided at the 2018 Pre-Conference Workshop Presentations. The presenter, John Spink, presented on Food Fraud and how ASTA can help, including identification and prevention of adulteration guidance, as well as prevention strategy implementation.
