Several European countries, Japan, and Australia issued alerts for contaminants in thyme, basil, nutmeg, chili, sesame, and other spice commodities due to a variety of issues, including pesticide levels, undeclared soy, undeclared gluten, Salmonella, and other contaminants and unauthorized substances.
