ASTA Comments on Definition of Natural for Labeling of Human Food

ASTA issued comments to the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) in July 2018 on the Agricultural Market Service’s (AMS) Proposed Rule on the National Bioengineered Food Disclosure Standard.

ASTA signed onto an FBIA coalition letter to the Food and Drug Administration(FDA) in July 2023 providing feedback on the FDA's “Food Labeling in Online Grocery Shopping; Request for Information” to provide general comments about the labeling of foods and the scope of FDA’s request. Comments include requests for flexibility and consistency with exemptions in existing nutrition labeling requirements.
