ASTA Sends Letter to Indian Spices Board Following Recent EtO Scrutiny
Following recent reports of the Food Safety and Standards Authority of India’s (FSSAI) suspension of ethylene oxide (EtO) operations after several EtO-treated spices originating from India were recalled in Singapore and Hong Kong, ASTA sent a letter to the Indian Spices Board to offer information on EtO use and regulations for spices in the U.S.
