In the spring of 2024, ASTA partnered with the Sustainable Spice Initiative (SSI) to offer parts I, II and III of this webinar series on sustainability essentials. Part II explored insights into U.S. and global sustainability considerations and use of sustainability as a risk management tool and regulatory compliance strategy. Part III offered practical insights into navigating sustainability certifications and industry standards. In Part IV, the webinar introduces ASTA members to the fundamentals of sustainability, climate change, and the critical role of Scope 3 emissions in the spice industry. This installment explores the business risks and opportunities tied to Scope 3, practical recommendations for managing Scope 3 emissions, and how programs like Supplier LOCT can support supplier engagement and help reduce Scope 3 emissions.
