ASTA signed onto an FBIA coalition letter to the Food and Drug Administration(FDA) in July 2021 regarding concerns related to recent developments in the state of New York pertaining to its food recall policies, in which the state's newly updated recall manual includes proposed threshold limits for certain contaminants, including heavy metals and allergens.
