2024 Technical Presentation: EU Pesticide MRL Framework for Spices
During the 2024 Symposium on Navigating Lack of Global Harmonization for Pesticide MRLs on Spices held in conjunction with the 2024 ASTA Annual Meeting, Roborto Fanni with Jayanti Herbs and Spices provided a presentation on the EU pesticide MRL framework for spices. His presentation was part of a representative throughout the spice supply chain and CPG customers discussing the real-life commercial implications of these regulations.

ASTA Petition Proposing an Import Tolerance for Thiamethoxam for Black Pepper
In October 2024, ASTA submitted a petition to EPA's Office of Pesticide Programs to establish an import tolerance for thiamethoxam in/on black pepper at 0.1 ppm.
