ASTA’s Annual Meeting & Exhibits is the signature event for the American Spice Trade Association. Held each spring, this event provides a unique opportunity for the spice industry to come together for education and networking. 

About the ASTA Annual Meeting

At ASTA’s Annual Meeting & Exhibits, you’ll grow your knowledge and your relationships within the U.S. spice industry. Attendees have the opportunity to learn from industry experts through workshops and presentations and nurture relationships through unique networking events. The ASTA Annual Meeting & Exhibits also provides companies in the spice trade an opportunity to meet with business partners.

A cornerstone of our Annual Meeting is our high-quality educational sessions, featuring crop reports and presentations on hot topics of interest to the industry related to the market, economy, technical and regulatory issues, agriculture, sustainability, and more. Sessions are designed to be informative, engaging, and insightful. ASTA also hosts an optional pre-conference symposium for in-depth education and discussion on a single topic of interest.

At the ASTA Annual Meeting, ASTA committees and the Board of Directors gather to discuss association business. All Active ASTA members are encouraged to attend the Business Meeting for briefings and votes on association business.

When you attend our Annual Meeting, you can expect to meet a range of professionals across the spice industry, including executive leadership, individuals in regulatory and quality assurance roles, as well as those involved in sales and procurement. Between 400 and 500 industry professionals attend the Annual Meeting each year.

Exhibits & Meeting Space

The Exhibit Hall at the Annual Meeting provides companies with the prime opportunity to showcase products and services to hundreds of attendees at tabletop exhibits. Exhibiting is a great way to grow exposure for your brand and develop new connections in the spice industry. ASTA also sells a limited number of small meeting rooms for companies to conduct their own business meetings during the conference.

The ASTA Annual Meeting is held each spring at a desirable destination or premier resort location designed to bring together the industry in a unique and memorable setting to promote business and foster connections. Past meetings have been held in Tucson, Miami, San Diego, Austin, and Charleston, among many other top destinations.

Annual Meetings and Exhibits

Frequently Asked Questions

Registration typically opens in mid-January and closes a week before the event. We offer Early Bird discounts to individuals who register before a designated date, usually about six weeks before the event.

You do not have to be an ASTA member to attend the Annual Meeting. However, ASTA events are limited to professionals who conduct business with the spice industry. ASTA members do receive deep discounts on registration fees.  Learn more about joining ASTA.

Spouses or family members over 18 years of age who are not employed by the member’s firm or active in the spice industry may register for the ASTA Annual Meeting at the spouse/family rate. These individuals are not permitted in meeting sessions but are welcome to attend social and networking events with their family members. Family members active in the spice trade must submit the full member or non-member registration. 

ASTA only provides a full list of registered attendees to members and other registered attendees. Members must be logged in to view this list. Registered non-members can receive a copy of this list by emailing [email protected]. An updated list of confirmed company attendees is available here.
