The New Rules of Trade: Reciprocal Tariffs and Bilateral Deals

Join this webinar on Monday, August 18 at 2:00pm EST

Overview

Join ASTA for this timely Webinar.

The U.S. trade landscape continues to rapidly evolve, with major implications for the global spice trade.  According to recent announcements from the White House, including the July 31 executive order, spices imported from key origin countries may now face cumulative tariffs of up to 50%. While spices have not yet been granted exemptions, the U.S.–Indonesia Framework leaves room for relief on products not “naturally available or domestically produced”—a designation ASTA is actively advocating for.

In this timely webinar, ASTA will break down the latest developments, including updates on bilateral negotiations with Brazil, India, Vietnam, and others. We will also discuss ASTA’s advocacy strategy and address questions from members about tariff rates, stacking, effective dates/grace periods, transshipments, and the status of ongoing negotiations.

The webinar is exclusive to ASTA members and there is no charge, but you must register to attend by Friday, August 15.
