FBIA Comments on FDA Request for Information on Online Food Labeling
ASTA signed onto an FBIA coalition letter to the Food and Drug Administration(FDA) in July 2023 providing feedback on the FDA's “Food Labeling in Online Grocery Shopping; Request for Information” to provide general comments about the labeling of foods and the scope of FDA’s request. Comments include requests for flexibility and consistency with exemptions in existing nutrition labeling requirements.
ASTA Comments on USDA National Organic Program, Sunset Review
ASTA issued comments to the National Organic Program in August 2005 and in response to the "National Organic Program, Sunset Review" notice, urging the National Organic Standards Board to renew the exemptions allowing the use of certain nonorganic items as ingredients in processed products labeled as “organic” or made with organic.
