Codex Issues Call for Data on Lead in Spices
The Codex Committee on Contaminants in Foods (CCCF) published its 17th Session report, which notably advances many proposed maximum lead levels (MLs) for spices to the adoption stage, and advances proposed MLs for dried bark and dried culinary herbs as drafts, pending consideration of additional data.
