ASTA, along with Pure Earth and the Responsible Battery Coalition, has endorsed a bipartisan resolution expressing concern about global lead exposure. This comes on the heels of ASTA’s reception on Capitol Hill with Pure Earth, where ASTA formally announced its participation in the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) Partnership for a Lead-Free Future (PLF). The House resolution was introduced by Representatives Jason Crow (D-CO) and John James (R-MI) and calls on USAID to include lead exposure prevention, especially for children, in their international programs.
